There are a variety of areas where you can spend time alone reflecting or enjoying the company of others.  You can also choose from the lounge and recreational areas, take a walk around the expanse of space, or simply savour the stunning sea views from the balcony.  Safe spaces for children and families are also available.

We are a GREEN organization

Verdun House has embraced the sustainability revolution and became a green institution through the implementation of the Green Business Barbados programme administered by the Future Centre Trust of Barbados.

  • A reduction of our overall environmental footprint and cost of water, energy, paper and other inputs are important for our operations.

  • As a Green Business, Verdun reuses and/or recycles all plastics, glass, metals, paper, cardboard, ink and toner cartridges. On the farm at Verdun, wherever possible we harvest rainwater which is used for non-portable activities.  Our fertilizers are recycled from our chicken farms and used in our vegetable farms.   We do not use harmful pesticides and herbicides that have the potential to contaminate our drinking water and decimate our ecosystems.
