Our treatment centres – Verdun House and Marina House are structured around the 12-step model of treatment and is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of caring professionals. What can you expect once you arrive at any of our centres?
You are met by one of our caring professionals whose primary role is to help you feel welcome, comfortable and to adjust to your treatment surroundings.
Emphasis is placed on taking care of your medical and psychological needs and helping you to acclimatise to the treatment process.
Primary treatment is a 90-day holistic experience. All clients are exposed to a comprehensive medical, psychiatric and psychological process involving:-
- 12-steps principles
- Education about chemical dependency
- Individual counselling
- Family therapy
- Treatment planning
- Group psychotherapy
- Recovery literature and lecturers
- Relapse prevention
- Social skills training
- N.A. and A.A. meeting attendance
- Continuing care planning
Second Phase Treatment
Our second phase option emphasises a systemic approach to social re-integration. It is built on the solid foundation of primary care principles. Through part-time employment, community service, academic and vocational rehabilitation and other opportunities for work, clients are provided with a sustainable support network as they navigate the challenges of early recovery.
