Our micro-business programme is first and foremost a therapeutic tool that allows our clients to enter into a work arrangement in a “safe” environment. These businesses provide clients with some income, in the form of a stipend, and create the opportunity to teach effective money management skills, sound work ethics and teamwork – life skills that are vital for those in recovery.
Our businesses presently consist of:-
Verdun Patisserie modern bakery produces a range of potpies, breads, cakes and pastries. We also bake a number of healthy alternatives that include gluten free, low sodium and no sugar varies. These items are on sale to the public, including in select SOL gas stations.
Our agricultural sector has all fields in cultivation growing an array of vegetables and ground provisions. No harsh chemicals or fertilisers are used in the production of our agricultural produce.
We do not feed our animals with hormones. Our meat and poultry are in high demand and are said to be some of the best on the Island.
